Tying knots, tapping reflexes or auscultating - medical students learn this and much more in preparation for their future career as a doctor. Come and visit us and try out some of these skills for yourself!

The SkillsLab Jena is once again taking part in the Long Night of Science. We would like to give all interested parties an insight into the study of medicine and offer great hands-on stations in cooperation with the UKJ's Educational Strategies in the Health Professions staff unit.

The offer on the 3rd floor of the Old Surgery (Bachstraße 18, Building 1) includes a total of eight stations. From 18:00 to 24:00, a large team of SkillsLab tutors and employees as well as expert nursing staff will make the enthusiasm for our practice-oriented training accessible to all interested parties.

Test your manual skills with surgical knots or learn tips and tricks for caring for relatives. The 85 kilogram body weight of our teaching phantom can suddenly be very light if you know which aids are useful. Find out how blood pressure values are measured precisely and what doctors really hear through a stethoscope. This and much more awaits you on 25.11.2022 in the SkillsLab Jena. We look forward to welcoming all visitors - young and old alike.
