Does television damage our cognitive performance? We don't know, but we're looking for the answer!

Although we know little about the effects of television, we all spend a lot of our lives watching it. Television consumption in industrialized countries currently stands at 2.5 hours per person per day - in the USA it is almost 4 hours a day. Even infants watch an average of 2 hours of television a day. There is evidence that television consumption has negative effects on health and cognitive development in a similar way to how smoking harms our health.
Whether this is really the case and if so, why, has not yet been researched. This is why we are getting to the bottom of this question with an innovative study concept.

At our stand, we offer you the opportunity to carry out the so-called TVA (visual attention test) and thus gain an insight into your visual reaction speed. You can also test your sensitive perception in the grading orientation task.

Find out more about the possible consequences of excessive visual media consumption, learn about the concept of visual attention and perhaps even become part of our study.
