Body painting exhibition: Life with and after cancer can be worth living, courageous, colorful and active

Together with Frauenenselbsthilfe Krebs, we are opening the exhibition "KREBS, na und!" at the Interdisciplinary Breast Center. It shows body painting by women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. On display are women who overcame their fears and inhibitions to have their bodies transformed into works of art. Each woman was allowed to choose the style of painting herself. The works of art by bodypainting artist Silke Kirchhoff and photographer Marcus-Andreas Mohr from Halle impressively convey the feelings, thoughts and emotions of the women as they cope with the disease and their treatments. The pictures make it clear that people suffering from cancer accept their bodies and that life with and after cancer can be worth living, courageous, colorful and active.

The Breast Centre and self-help organization team will be available for questions and discussions.

Venue: House E, Stand E4
Time: Exhibition opening 19.00 hrs
