The climatological measuring station at the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences in Jena has been continuously recording meteorological data since July 1999.
The measuring station at the observatory in Schillergäßchen goes back to J. W. Goethe, among others, was revived by Ernst Abbe in 1878 and is now operated by the German Weather Service.
The lecture will present current and historical data from various sources. The focus will be on the recording of precipitation data.
