Discover our laser and optical measurement technology, which is used to optimize the production and design of cars. We demonstrate how this works with child-friendly (and popular) models and small parts.

Cutting tires with a laser? Light design on the car thanks to paint removal? No problem with our "JENscan" laser technology!

Current design trends in the automotive industry show that light design is playing an increasingly important role in the individualization of vehicles - in the vehicle interior and on the exterior. A wide variety of components are fitted with light sources to illuminate the finest structures and geometries, logos and lines. The elaborate lighting designs are created by partially removing the opaque paint from the illuminated plastic components. A powerful laser is used instead of abrasive mechanical tools.

Precisely this advantage can also be used for the prototype production of car tires. Instead of carving a prototype by hand in around a week, our "JENscan Tire" only needs a few hours to produce the profile of the tire by laser.

Jenoptik products also play an important role in quality assurance. It is true that silhouettes are somewhat out of fashion, at least when it comes to human portraits. However, the silhouette has its place in metrology: It can be used to inspect wave-shaped parts very accurately for automotive production, for example. The "Opticline" measuring device is used to precisely measure gearboxes, camshafts or crankshafts, for example, in order to detect deviations in good time.

Discover our versatile products and solutions that use lasers and optics to make vehicle production and design more efficient, safer and more attractive.
