Tinnitus describes hearing a sound without an external source, which is often referred to as phantom noise. If these noises persist for more than three months, they are referred to as chronic tinnitus. Although these phantom noises cannot be eliminated even with today's possibilities, suitable therapy methods can improve the limited quality of life and help people to get used to the phantom noise. At our information stand, we will explain how tinnitus occurs, how such purely subjective phenomena can be measured and how chronic tinnitus is treated at our day clinic using an interdisciplinary therapeutic approach.
