Products that SCHOTT MINIFAB is involved in developing are revolutionizing healthcare and driving new discoveries. In this presentation, we will shed light on the development process of these novel microfluidic products.

Medicine and health are becoming increasingly important in our lives. A decisive criterion is to obtain a reliable diagnosis in the shortest possible time, with little effort and at low cost. The products SCHOTT MINIFAB is involved in developing are revolutionizing healthcare, driving new discoveries and changing the world. The polymer and glass consumables for diagnostics and life science applications may be small, but their impact is enormous. Translating biochemical processes into a microfluidic format is a complex endeavor - it's about integrating science, microtechnology and commercial manufacturing. It starts with our design, bioscience and engineering teams developing microfluidic products using our unique technologies. At the end is a unique manufacturing capability designed for rapid scaling from pilot line quantities to high volume automated production.

Speaker: Christian Jabschinsky, Head of SCHOTT MINIFAB Jena
