Göschwitz: Our trainees from Hamburg and Switzerland will be presenting very special products and projects from the world of optics and laser technology at the LNDW Jena.

"Something to do with optics" - it is not always easy to explain the profession of optics to our young people. That's why SwissOptic, a Jenoptik Group company, enlisted the help of its own apprentices. As a project, the apprentices have built a laser labyrinth to present the fascinating world of optics in a playful way.

The task for visitors to the LNDW Jena is to guide a laser beam through the mirror course. The individual mirrors must be adjusted so that the laser beam is redirected correctly and reaches the specified target point. The different levels of difficulty offer an entertaining adventure for young and old alike.

Razor-sharp images for the family photo or the next Hollywood blockbuster: none of this is possible without precision and the right lens. But how do we know if a lens is working perfectly?

The trainees from TRIOPTICS, another company in the Jenoptik Group, use a specially built device to demonstrate how lenses are tested and explain why a focal point is essential for this.
