Playfully learn how work in an optics laboratory works and paint fascinating patterns on the wall with a laser in our hands-on offer for everyone aged 5 and over!

Would you like to playfully learn how work in an optics laboratory works and which components are part of an optical setup?
Try out how you can paint fascinating patterns on the wall with a laser and fluorescent paint? And ask all your questions to young scientists from the Group of UltraFast Optical Spectroscopy (GUFOS)? Then come and visit us at the Institute of Solid State Physics!

We have a two-part offer: "Laser Maze" is waiting for you in the foyer of Helmholtzweg 5.
For each puzzle card, you have to adjust the path of the laser so that it reaches the specified components and hits the target at the end.
Different levels of difficulty are possible, from beginner (no previous knowledge required) to expert (some even the professors can't manage). On the second floor (lecture hall 2) you can then work on a small optical setup and use a laser pointer to draw different shapes and perhaps even small works of art in fluorescent color.

The GUFOS are looking forward to your visit!
