Let us take you on a journey into basic research into diabetes mellitus and its secondary diseases.

Blood sugar control in diabetes mellitus contributes significantly to the risk of developing secondary diseases. There is a phenomenon here, the so-called "metabolic memory", which has been known for 40 years but was a great mystery until a few years ago. This lecture will take you into the world of the molecular causes of this phenomenon and unravel the mystery for you.
