In the microbiology laboratory, we find out which bacteria, viruses or parasites are responsible for an infection.

Microscopes with various infectious agents will be available at the information stand and other interesting material on parasites will be presented. The guided tours through the laboratory of the Institute of Medical Microbiology will provide a brief insight into the processes of bacteriological diagnosis. For example, the cultivation of bacteria from patient samples, the detection of multi-resistant pathogens and the diagnosis of sepsis will be examined in detail.

Note: The guided tours last about 20 minutes, meeting point is the information stand
Restriction: max. 10 people per tour, children only when accompanied by an adult and aged 10 and over
