Various hands-on physics experiments in the field of optics and particle physics. Have you always wanted to know how an accelerator works? Or how elementary particles are made visible and stored?

To present the range of research at the institute, there are many exciting experiments on topics such as

  • optical labyrinth
  • laser gyroscope
  • Michelson interferometer
  • thermal imaging camera
  • Polarization of light
  • Holography
  • Ultrasonic levitation
  • Light scattering
  • Particle accelerator you can touch
  • Model of a storage ring
  • Cloud chamber for visualizing cosmic radiation
  • Double slit experiment
  • Physics at Aikido

In the inner courtyard of the institute (18.30, 20.00 and 22.00):

  • Demonstration of the JETI terawatt laser with a short lecture
  • Blowpipe demonstration, vacuum cannon
