GRINTECH GmbH in the Jena21 industrial estate invites you on a journey of discovery through miniature worlds: Here you can explore the inner life of vegetables by endoscopy. What does a bell pepper look like on the inside? You'll find out with us! At our microscopy station, too, small details become really big.
If you like, you can compete with our robot "Georg": Who can measure the diameter of our glass rods faster and more accurately - man or machine?
What exactly is a GRIN lens? In our interactive exhibition room, you will get to know fluorescent GRIN lenses. With our unique GRIN pudding, we will show you the path light takes through our special micro-lenses.
Your heart beats for drawing and painting? Great! All artists young and old can immortalize their own work of art with laser engraving.
And for those who like things technical and informative and would like to get to know GRINTECH better, exciting guided tours through our various production areas are just the thing: from optical measurement technology to ion exchange and precision optics to the mechanics workshop. Please register in advance - simply send an e-mail to event@grintech.de or call 03641 554170.

About us:
We have been experts in micro-optics for almost 25 years. Our specialty: GRIN lenses - small lenses with flat front surfaces and diameters of less than 2 millimetres. We use these to build miniaturized optical systems that are used, for example, in optical sensor technology, biomedicine and endoscopy. Our almost 50 employees are looking forward to presenting our small lenses in a big way at the Long Night of Science. Come by on November 22nd at Otto-Eppenstein-Straße 7 in the Jena21 industrial park. We are looking forward to it!
