Determine an approximation for the circle number π using only (many) matches.

In the middle of the 18th century, Georges-Louis Leclerc de Buffon described how the number of circles π, among other things, could be calculated using randomly thrown pins on a grid of parallel lines.

Try it out on the stand with the help of matches.
